Parish Mission Ministry

Sound Mission Ministries exists to promote and encourage families to grow in holiness. In today's busy world of multiple jobs, education requirements, and extracurricular activities, simply making it through the day can be an ordeal. Getting families to embrace their Catholic faith can be a challenge as well. Sound Mission Ministries will help inspire and encourage parishioners and their families to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our Theology & Message
The Sound Mission Ministries staff and presenters are solid Catholics who bring the Good News of Christ in its full vision with the Magisterium of the Church. Our pro-life, pro-family message resonates with people of all ages and backgrounds. We work to encourage openness to the Church's age-old wisdom regarding marriage, life and God's loving plan for the family.
Your Liturgy, the Key to A Successful Parish Mission
Sound Mission Ministries has everything in place for your parish to have a successful and fruitful parish mission. Our team of presenters will come to your parish and integrate into your community for a weekend by attending all of the Masses and giving the parishioners a firsthand experience of our ministry. Because our team includes ordained clergy and experienced musicians, we are well equipped to promote attendance for the mission. To this end, team member Deacon Mitch Rennix often serves as deacon and homilist at the liturgies, and Oregon Catholic Press recording artist Chris Muglia leads a portion of the music as well.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS....
How Many Days Is The Mission?
A parish mission is spread out over two evenings, typically Sunday and Monday nights. In our experience, a two night mission works well for young families. Each night, the program lasts two hours, usually from 7PM-9PM. For those parishes who desire more than two nights, we then schedule a series of presentations spread out over many weeks. We can make multiple visits to the same parish over the course of several months.
What Is The Flow of The Mission?
Each night begins with music, a keynote speaker and an opportunity for attendees to process the material. During the mission families spend time in groups of men, women, teens and children for age and topic-appropriate discussions. Each night the mission ends with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and prayer.
